Welcome
to the Kiwanis Club of East Yonkers awarded Best NYS District
Kiwanis website - 2004 and
second place in 2007.
Kiwanis_International is a gobal organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. People from all walks of life participate in Kiwanis activities and belong to clubs here in Yonkers and around the globe.
We attend
regular meetings for fellowship and inspiration and perform voluntary
community service.
Specifically -
Kiwanis is a service organization of dedicated men and women. It does
not prescribe a way of life for others. It often does, however, act
as a forum for diverse ideas.
We
give back to our community by enhancing the quality of life in our area
in a variety of ways. We have listed our current projects and fundraisers.
Please take the time to read through them carefully. We are proud
of what we do and believe that volunteering is a great way to give
something back to our community and make new friends.
Many Years of Service! - The Kiwanis Club of East
Yonkers was chartered on June 11, 1956 by the Kiwanis Club of Yonkers.
Meetings - We typically meet on the first and third
Wednesday of the month for dinner. Prospective members and visiting
Kiwanians are invited to join us. Contact our Secretary for details.
Join Us - You can help our club make a difference
for the children of our community and of the world. Please read
about membership or consider supporting our projects. If you are interested in the work that East Yonkers Kiwanis performs
and would like more information on becoming a member, please contact
our Club President.
